This year marked my first time attending—and photographing—the Richmond Jazz and Music Festival, and I have to say, it was an unforgettable experience. I love music and if this isn't your first time here you already know that I love fashion! So I was on the lookout for any festival fashions that caught my eye.
Right off the bat, one thing stood out: my feet weren’t hurting by the end of the day. If you’ve been to festivals before, you know that’s a win. The stages were close together, the transitions between artists were perfectly timed. The experience of having multiple stages where multiple artists were performing at the same time is not easy to maneuver.
The weather was cooperative I was so glad that it wasn't too hot, and the check-in process was quick and painless—no long lines or confusion, just in and on with the day. My timing likely helped with that too!
I got to see several artists I hadn’t seen perform live before, and I was able to get some dope shots of course. I do wish that I had gotten to interview at least one artist, but that’s a goal I’m saving for next time. I'm working on giving better interviews and what better way than to do a couple myself.
Have you ever been to the Richmond Jazz and Music Festival? Did you go this year? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
